A written concept and no team

A partner development shop had a Solana client and more work than capacity. Paragon wanted to ship a social staking protocol and arrived with only a written concept.

Leet Software had just started. Our mandate covered scoping, architecture, UI design, hiring, and essentially end-to-end delivery.

Staking tied to social activity

The product restricted token supply through staking while rewarding public social activity. Users connected a Solana wallet, chose an amount and a lock period, and saw their projected returns before approving the transaction.

They linked X and Telegram accounts, completed assigned social tasks, and claimed rewards from a dashboard that showed their stake, tasks, and payout history together.

Custody on-chain, calculation off-chain

A Solana program managed token custody, stakes, lock periods, and reward claims. Reward calculation ran off-chain because it needed every user's staked amount, tier, and lock duration, which was impractical to aggregate on the chain itself.

When an administrator started a reward batch, the system paused staking and calculated each user's allocation from a stable snapshot. Background jobs wrote those allocations back on-chain in batches with retries before staking reopened.

Users then completed their social tasks, which unlocked their rewards for claiming.

Operations an administrator could trust

Administrators could pause the whole program or only staking, configure tiers and token thresholds, and preview each reward batch with live warnings before committing it.

Batch screens showed total stake, participation, tier distribution, and lock-period effects, with explicit states from calculation through settlement. Access control separated the contract deployer from secondary administrators.

A second product for campaign teams

Paragon wanted to offer other crypto startups the same campaign coordination we had built for them. The second product was that B2B offering: a platform for running social campaigns, without the staking aspect.

Participants earned token rewards for tasks such as commenting on specific posts. We built both sides of that product: the participant application and an administration portal where each company could run its own campaigns.

The portal separated platform administrators from project-level roles, onboarded members through wallet addresses, kept an audit history, and reported on campaign performance.

The two products had separate backends and shared only the underlying patterns for working with social APIs.

Building the team during delivery

Largely everyone vetted ended up being great additions to the team. In fact, several engineers from this engagement were later hired by the partner development shop. Leet Software was young at the time and utilization rates weren't great, so I was happy to "let them go to greener pastures" and we kept partnering up with them on future projects too.

One particular frontend hire though didn't end up doing great. This particular developer submitted generated code without reviewing it, shifting that burden onto his colleagues, so we ended the trial in that case.

All to say, this was not uneventful but things worked out great overall.

What shipped and what followed

The first product was delivered on schedule in 22 weeks. The second reached delivery and acceptance demonstrations but never launched, because the client's funding ran out before production.

Paragon's trust carried into later engagements, including the real-time trading platform.
